The Jeanette Jones Legacy Scholarship is in honor of Jeanette’s commitment to child and youth programs, professional development, and the children and families served by the Child and Youth Services community.

Jeanette Jones served with Army and Air Force Child and Youth Services and was a long-standing member of AYCE since 1999. She began her Child and Youth Services career as a Program Assistant at the Kitzingen School Age Center, 417th Base Support Battalion, in Kitzingen, Germany. She later served as a Training and Curriculum Specialist at Ramstein Air Base. Throughout her career, Jeanette was dedicated to teaching and training childcare professionals and helping ensure that child and youth programs were high-quality, supportive places for all. Her contributions made a lasting difference for professionals, children, and families across the child and youth services community.

Scholarship Purpose

The scholarship supports continued professional growth and encourages active

involvement in AYCE and the field of early childhood and youth education. It is intended to help child and youth professionals attend the AYCE annual conference and apply what they learn to strengthen programs for children and families.

Award

AYCE will award five $100 scholarships each year. Scholarship funds may be used to offset eligible conference-related expenses. Eligible expenses include conference registration, lodging, meals, fuel, and professional-development materials purchased from conference vendors.
